Bristol Boxing's New Home

01/01/2015

Bristol Boxing Gym are celebrating after picking up the keys to our new home. We will move into the former Mill Youth Centre, Easton in January 2015, only 500 yards from our existing gym. Our charity Empire Fighting Chance has received funding of half a million pounds to develop a state of the art facility which will enhance and improve the services we can offer.

The funding will develop the facility into two open plan gym spaces both housing boxing rings. There will also be a stylish mezzanine overlooking the larger gym area to include cardio fitness machines. As well as the two gym spaces there will also be fitness studios and an outdoor basketball court which will allow us to expand our range of exercise classes and provide outdoor circuits as well as our current range of Boxfit/Technique and Novice Sparring sessions.

Our new home will also have brand new male and female changing and shower facilities along with 20 free car parking spaces inside the complex and free outside street parking.

This will also be a fantastic opportunity for our charity Empire Fighting Chance to expand the services which it delivers to young people in Bristol. As well as gym spaces the facility will also have several classrooms, counselling rooms and a conference area. We hope that going forward we can transform the centre into the primary sports social hub in Bristol.

There will be a smooth transition over the Christmas/New Year period while we transfer to the new building so that minimal time is lost for members wishing to use the facilities. This is a great opportunity for us at Bristol Boxing and also for our members we are very excited about the future.
